A few years ago, a New Years Resolution was a lifestyle change that lasted the year, or longer. Now, changing something for a month is a big enough task for many. It seems the first month of 2019 has been all about 30 day challenges, Dry January and the 10 Year Challenge.

10 years ago, I wasn’t an artist. I wanted to study and learn veterinary science and spent all my free time with horses. I began drawing before then, my brother and I taught each other the basics and with practice I improved. But my main focus was on spending time with horses, dogs, cats, any animal to be honest. It is that passion for animals that led me to where I am today.

At the end of last year I made the decision to start drawing again and become self employed, a slightly bigger commitment than the usual new year’s resolution. I’ve already met some great people through my artwork and made some friends for life. I am also now making another resolution today to blog at least twice a month from now on. So stay in touch to see what I am working on and for future events, only time will tell where the path goes next! ✨
